Information we collect from you
All personal information collected by TALENT is obtained from submissions made directly to us from training course application forms, emails and telephone calls.
When you submit an application to a training course operated by TALENT you provide the following personal information: name, address, email and telephone contact details, age, nationality, employment status and relevant previous experience and qualifications at time of enrolment.
We do not collect any technical information such as the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the internet, browser type and version, operating system or platform. We do not employ web analytics tools or cookies to track your use of our website or collect personal information.
How we use your personal information
The personal information we collect from you is stored on TALENT’s own data storage at TALENT’s registered address. Your information is not published online. Personal information is used to provide you with access to TALENT’s training material, the TALENT Discussion Forum and to enrol you for examination.
In order to do this, we share only the information provided on your application form required by our following partners in the United Kingdom:
The Institute of Concrete Technology (ICT, http://ict.concrete.org.uk/). Personal information is provided by TALENT only at the time of enrolment for an examination to the ICT, administrators for the UK’s industry-endorsed qualification framework.
Concrete Technology & Construction Training (CTCT, http://ctct.org/). Personal information is provided by TALENT to create a user profile to provide access to the training material on CTCT’s distance learning platform. User progress is collected in monthly reports to aid in preparation for examinations, and to provide progress feedback to candidates’ employers upon request only.
On the Website we use reasonable endeavours to safeguard the confidentiality of your personally identifiable information but we do not use encryption to store your personally identifiable information. This is because we do not believe that the personal information we currently collect warrants such measures and the accompanying loss of speed experienced. You should be aware that "perfect security" does not exist on the Internet.
How Long We Store Your Personal Data
We will not retain your personal information for any longer than is necessary for our purposes, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting or reporting requirements.
We endeavour to provide all candidates with access to TALENT’s training material and support materials on the TALENT Discussion Forum for as long as TALENT continues to operate these services. Consequently, TALENT will maintain a record of the personal information you have provided to us until such time as our services cease, or you request your personal information to be removed from our records.
We will remove your personal information from our records if you ask us to do so, but we may still need to keep your information for ongoing contractual purposes if you continue to be our customer and for legal, accounting and regulatory reporting reasons.
